Pick the shortest option that covers the task. A longer window is simply a longer period in which someone who guessed the address could read what is in it.
Where Temporary Addresses Are Accepted
No temporary email service is accepted everywhere, and anyone claiming otherwise is overselling. Acceptance tracks how much a site cares about repeat signups.
- Usually fine — forums, wikis, documentation, file downloads, coupon and PDF gates, small tools, newsletters.
- Hit and miss — large consumer platforms and social networks. They keep lists of disposable domains and update them, so results change over time.
- Blocked, and rightly so — banks, payment providers, insurers, airlines, government and tax portals, medical services. Use your real address there.
If a signup form rejects the address the moment you paste it, that is a domain block rather than a delivery problem. Generating another address on the same domain will not change the outcome.
Limits Worth Knowing Before You Start
- Receive only. You cannot send or reply from any address on this site.
- Expiry is final. When an inbox ends, the messages are deleted. We cannot restore or resend them.
- No password. Anyone who knows the address can read the inbox, and anyone holding a saved-inbox link can reopen it. Keep that link private.

Questions About Choosing an Inbox
Can I extend an inbox once it has started?
You can reset the timer before it reaches zero, which starts the countdown again on the same address. That is usually better than generating a new address mid-signup, because the site you are registering with is already expecting mail at the first one. Once the timer hits zero, though, the address is finished.
What happens to my messages when the inbox expires?
They are deleted. Not archived, not held in a backup you can ask us for — deleted. Copy anything you need, such as a licence key or a download link, somewhere permanent as soon as it arrives.
How many inboxes can I use at once?
As many as you need. There is no limit and no account, so generating a fresh address costs nothing. Keeping separate addresses for separate signups is good practice.
Is the 7-day inbox private?
It is private only in the sense that the link is hard to guess. There is no password on it, so treat the link itself as the credential: anyone you send it to can read the inbox, and so can anyone who finds it in a shared chat or a browser history.
